Situation
Downing College provides facilities for conferences, meetings, weddings and catering in its beautiful settings located in the very centre of Cambridge.
The site needed to showcase the superb facilities that the College has to offer. The content was required to cater for conference guests, planners, organisers as well as individuals looking for accommodation, Summer school organisers, and wedding planners.
Approach
We created a bespoke content management system (CMS) using our current high-end in-house CMS, LegendCMS, as a solid starting point.
We used lots of photography throughout the site and designed and developed a visually engaging and clean concept for the whole site.
We designed the information architecture to ensure that the various target audience groups could find content quickly and easily.
Result
Staff can manage the site's content easily using the CMS which was developed specifically for this project.
The finished site provides a powerful tool for attracting new business and a comprehensive but easy to navigate source of information for visitors.
